Description

For this great week on a rental motorbike in Southern Africa, you only need to take care of your flight to Johannesburg yourself, we will organize the rest for your unforgettable experience on two wheels with impressive routes and memories of the "Big 5" (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion, and leopard).

On the day of arrival, we will pick you up at O.R. Tambo airport and take you to your desired rental motorcycle. We use the afternoon and evening to prepare for the week ahead. You will get to know your motorcycle and receive a safety briefing for the machine and for the appropriate behavior on the roads of South Africa. You will learn a lot about the special features of the trip and know who will accompany you.

Tour Highlights:

Followed by an escort vehicle loaded with your luggage, we move east from Pretoria after visiting a lion park. Close to the Kruger National Park, we stay in a great accommodation which is equipped with everything a biker's heart desires.

From Mbombela, formerly Nelspruit, we start the following day to visit one highlight after the other on the Panorama Route. The Mac Mac Waterfalls, the Blyde River Canyon, the Potholes, and much more will be visited.

To live up to the name of this tour, South African wildlife is also the focus of our activities. Kudus, baboons, and springboks will surely be spotted by you, the next day we are looking for the "Big 5" in the Kruger National Park.

On the fifth day, we head to Magoebaskloof and spend 2 days in this holiday region so popular among South Africans. For motorcyclists, it is a must to stop at the World's View after many great curves and enjoy the view over Limpopo.

A safari lodge and a crocodile ranch serve us once again pure wildlife before we start our return journey to Gauteng and we look back on the past days together during a South African Braai.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1/ individual arrival at Johannesburg airport/ special features of the trip/ meet participants.

As with our other tours in Southern Africa, we spend the first day after your arrival in the morning making final preparations for the week ahead. We will collect your chosen rental motorcycle together and you will receive a safety briefing, including how to behave like a tourist on South African roads. You will be provided with route information, maps, and GPS data. The first evening we spend socially with a typical South African dinner.

Since 2014, the former metropolitan region of Nelspruit is called "Mbombela". Also known as the gateway to Kruger Park, Mbombela is an excellent overnight destination for our trip.
