Description
The tour ends in the capital. Experience 9 days of guided motorcycle tours on mixed country roads and main roads. During this tour you will have, among other things, the opportunity to visit two very different places, the Tsingy National Park, where the whole environment is red, and in addition a colorful and bizarre landscape, the Tsingy de Ankarana.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Welcome to Ivato airport - transfer to the hotel.
You will be picked up by the tour guide and escorted to the hotel.
After a long flight you can relax in Hôtel Restaurant La Ribaudière Antananarivo, 4 star hotel.
Day 2: Flying to Diego
You will be picked up from your hotel so early because the only flight to Nosy Be leaves at 7:00 am. Upon your arrival at Diego airport, our rider will take you to Lakana Ramena hotel. There, a cool drink will be waiting for you and you will have time to meet your guide and fellow travelers. Then the tour guide will accompany you to a place where the motorcycle is located. You will have the opportunity to try out the motorcycle. After that you can relax on the beach. Overnight at Hotel Lakana Ramena Diego, 4 star hotel.
RAMENA
Ramena beach is located next to the village of Ramena, 18 kilometers from Diego Suarez, at the entrance of Diego Suarez Bay - the second largest natural bay in the world. The beach is very popular with day visitors to the city of Diego, especially on weekends. Ramena beach is several kilometers long with a number of hotels and small local restaurants spread along the beach. There is mangrove vegetation at the southern end of the beach. This is a small lively fishing village in northern Madagascar. This place is known as a popular destination for swimming and relaxing on the beach.
Day 3 : Diego - Babaomby (about 75Km)
After breakfast, we cross the Diego-Suarez salt flats, the Anamakia plain and ride to Antsiskala beach. We ride towards the sea over the tracks of Babaomby Plain "Land of the Zebus".Overnight in B&B in Babaomby Island Lodge, 5 star hotel.
CAP D'AMBRE
Cap d'Ambre is located on the northern tip of Madagascar, 70 km from Diego-Suarez. Its areas and beaches are completely natural. The Vataraza makes the sea leaky, so it is only possible to reach its wild beaches by sea from November to April. Cap d'Ambre is the best place for fishing lovers. It is the natural habitat of crabs and lobsters. The dives, accessible even to beginners, will make you discover the fascinating and enchanting universe.
Day 4 : Cap d'Ambre - Baie du Courrier (75 km)
After breakfast, we cross the plain of Cap D'ambre and arrive at the foot of the lighthouse. Upon arrival, we will visit the lighthouse and have lunch on site. Then we continue to Baie du Courrier and line up in the late afternoon. We sleep in rustic bungalows. Dinner at Madiro Kitamby restaurant (seafood and fish specialties).

BAI DU COURRIER

Day 5 : Windsor Castle - Cape Diego - Diego Suarez (50 km)
After breakfast we climb up to Windsor Castle, which peaks at 391 meters. From here you will have a panoramic view of Diego-Suarez Bay, the Mozambique Channel and the northern tip. We will ride to Cap Diego and its old airstrip and return to Diego in the late afternoon. Overnight at Lakana Ramena Hotel, 4 star hotel.
Day 6 : Trekking in Tsingy Rouge and Ankarana (134 Km - 6 hours)
Today will be long as we will visit 2 different interesting places. After breakfast we will continue hiking to Tsingy Rouge - called Red Tsingy. We will hike to one at a very interesting place. The hike will take about 2 hours. We will continue to Ankarana where we will have lunch at Chez Laurent Ankarana. Then we will hike in Tsingy Ankarana through a colorful and bizarre landscape. The hike will take about 4 hrs. Then we will make our way to Ankify for an overnight stay. This trip will take about 4 hours. Overnight stay at Ankify Lodge, 3 star hotel.
TSINGY ROUGE
The Tsingy rouge are located in the north of the island, about 50 km from Diego Suarez. The Tsingy can be reached within an hour by a sandy road. Compared to the Tsingy de Bemaraha in the west, the red Tsingy are made of sandstone and not limestone and are therefore much more fragile. The reddish color is due to this formation, so typical of Madagascar, of hundreds of peaks made of the red laterite soil. The peaks of the Tsingy-Rouges are up to 10 meters high and glow in different shades of red. The Tsingy-Rouges are located in a gorge where more and more Tsingy appear due to erosion, but also Tsingy disappear due to wind and water erosion. So this formation is always changing and makes it particularly interesting.
ANKARANA
Ankarana is a special reserve located about 90 kilometers south of Antsiranana, from where it is easy to visit. The reserve is not very large and is best known for the tsingy. Tsingy are calcareous rock structures that protrude razor sharp from the ground. Over thousands of years they have been transformed by rainwater into their present What can we do there? Take a hike to the green lake "Lac Vert Discover bats in underground caves and cave systems. The 140 km long underground cave system is covered with many prohibitions, the whims of the poor. Discover the "Green River", an underground river that rises to the surface only briefly in the gorge.
Day 7 : Ankarana - Antsohihy(323 Km - 6 hours)
After breakfast we will make a "tourist" stop to visit a small cocoa farm. There are also coffee, vanilla and ylang ylang trees. Before we leave again, we will buy some products, then we will ride along the untouched nature and the rich vegetation of the desert forest of Safari on the north coast. In the evening we will reach the beautiful coastal town of Antsohihy, where we will stay at the Belle Vue Hotel, a 4-star hotel.
Day 8 : Antsohihy - Maevatanana (377 km- 6-7 hours)
After breakfast we will ride the whole 377 km towards the great north. You will not miss any of the enchantments that Madagascar reserves for its curious travelers.One no longer counts the mineral and vegetable resources of this country in wealth. Overnight at the Hotel Le Mandarin, 3 stars hotel.
MAEVATANANA
Maevatanana "the beautiful village" is one of the hottest cities of the country. It has about 30,000 inhabitants. It is an important stop for the bush cabs on the Antananarivo-Mahajanga route, an almost obligatory stopover. This town, which dominates the Ikopa Valley, is inhabited mainly by Merina, Betsileo and Sakalava. It is known above all as one of the centers of the gold trade in the whole country, and since the nineteenth century gold collectors have flocked there.
Day 9: Maevatanana - Antananarivo - Europe (313 km - 6 hours)
The journey is over. After breakfast, on the last day of the enduro trip, we will cross the beautiful Central Valley on our way back to Antananarivo. Upon arrival in Antananarivo, you will be escorted to the airport in the afternoon for your onward flight to Europe.
