Route profile: Well paved, partly narrow country roads. Very many curves.
Riding skills: demanding - not suitable for beginners and chopper riders. The motorcycle should be well controlled on small narrow roads and hairpin turns. Due to the duration of the tour, good physical condition is a prerequisite.

Tour itinerary:

Day 1

Arrival of the participants until 6 pm at our starting hotel in the area of Lörrach. Introduction of the tour and getting to know the participants.

Day 2

We will cover the first part of today on the highway in Switzerland to Lake Geneva. The first pass we will conquer in Switzerland is the Col de Mosses and then continue to the border with France over the Pass de Morgins. After the Col de Corbier we will also start on the Route des Grandes Alpes with the Col de Colombiere and the Col de Aravis. Overnight stay in the area around Flumet. Approx. 350 km

Day 3

After breakfast a great day awaits us. We set off for 3 of the most beautiful and highest passes in the Western Alps such as Col de Roselend (1970 m), Col de l'Iseran (2770 m), today's destination is Saint-Martin-dÁrc. Approx. 240 km

Day 4

This morning we will climb steeply up to the Col de Galibier (2642m ). Col de Izoard (2360 m), continue over the Col de Vars ( 2109 m) and to the Col de la Bonette (2802m). Overnight stay in the area of Isola. Approx. 250 km

Day 5

We leave the Route de Grandes Alpes and will ride through the most spectacular gorges of France, among others Georges De Daluis and Canyon Du Verdon. We will continue to the Plateau de Valensole, where the most beautiful lavender fields of Provence can be seen. We will spend the night in Mountiers-Sainte Marie. Approx. 270 km

Day 6

Today is dedicated to the beauty of Provence. We start with the highest mountain of Provence (Mont Ventoux) with its 1909m. Continue to the most impressive monastery of Provence Abbey de Senanque and then to the ochre quarry of Roussillon. Overnight stay in Malaucene. Approx. 218 km

Day 7 Malaucene to Avignon

Day 8

Today can be spent individually, either as a rest day to get to know the city of Avignon with its many sights or to take the opportunity to explore the Camargue National Park on your own. The area is known, among other things, for the free-roaming white horses and the flamingos.

Day 9

We leave Avignon and ride towards the French. Massif Central to the Cevennes National Park. Before we make a detour to the Pont du Gard, a 2000 year old viaduct from Roman times for a photo stop. We will continue to the Cirque de Navacelles, where we will enjoy a unique panorama. Our destination for today is Florac. Approx. 255 km

Day 10

Breathtaking gorges and country roads are on the program today. We start with Gorges de la Jonte, followed by Gorges Du Tarn. Finally the Gorges de Ardeche with its famous stone arch Pont d Arc. Overnight stay near Montelimar. Approx. 335 km

Day 11

After a hearty breakfast, we head to the Vercors National Park with its spectacular roads such as the famous Route Combe Laval, Grandes Goulets and Georges de la Bourne. Overnight stay in the Grenoble area. Approx. 220 Km

Day 12

Today we follow the tracks of the Tour de France. A sweeping ascent over Alp de Huez with its spectacularly situated airport where we make a short photo stop. We continue over the Col de Glandon (1924 m) and the Col de la Fer (approx. 2067 m) and finally the Col de Madeleine (approx. 2000 m). Overnight stay near Beaufort. Approx. 250 km

Day 13

On today's last day of riding some more passes are waiting for us among others the Col de Forclaz (1527 m) where we will leave France. After 2 more passes in Switzerland, the Col de la Croix (1727 m) and the Col de Pillon (1546 m) we will cover the last part on the highway. Overnight stay at the start and finish hotel in Wehr.

After more than 20 spectacular passes and fascinating landscapes, it's time to say goodbye to the tour participants Best of France and we say: Au revoir and merci. Approx. 370 km
