Description

On this tour we start directly from Eisenach in southern direction, through the foothills of the Thuringian Forest into the Thuringian Rhön. A bit further along the German Alleenstraße we dive into the Rhön. First still on the Thuringian side, then on the Bavarian side past the border triangle (Bavaria, Hesse, Thuringia) and the Kreuzberg monastery in the direction of the long Rhön.

We continue to follow the mountain range with breathtaking views and beautiful roads. A rest with area-typical food may not be missing of course and is already planned. Afterwards we meander on secondary roads back in the direction of Thuringia - among other things still over the Hohe Geba. Finally, we cross the Rennsteig for the second time this day and find ourselves back in Eisenach.
