From the Mediterranean to the Atlantic. On the outward trip we explore the Spanish side of the Pyrenees; it goes out to the Atlantic coast in the Basque Country. The return trip then takes us across the French part of the Pyrenees, largely on the spectacular "Route des Cols".

The road of passes, the " Route des Cols", accompanies the Pyrenees from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean. Enjoy pass after pass on an incredible 700 kilometers.

The route takes us through fantastic mountains along the border between France and Spain and offers impressive views on unique mountain roads.

We ride about 700 km along the Route des Cols (a total distance of about 850 km).

The road of passes, the " Route des Cols", accompanies the Pyrenees from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Along the 34 passes and 17 circuits (by car or motorcycle) that can be covered in one day, it invites you to discover selected places that will give you an insight into the richness of the Pyrenees.

The neo-Aquitan part of this spectacular route goes from Hendaye on the Basque coast to the Col d'Aubisque in Béarn, which is 234 kilometers and 12 passes. You have 5-day tours to choose from to discover the "Basque Villages", the "Basque Mountains", the "Musketeers", the "Mountains of Béarn" and the " Tour of the Valleys of the Gaves over the Aubisque and the Soulor" with truly exceptional panoramas.

Tour itinerary:

DAY 1: Independent arrival at our starting hotel and meeting point in Lörrach.

Check-in until 18:00, followed by a tour presentation and getting to know each other over a cozy dinner.

DAY 2: Lörrach - Lyon

On our first journey, we ride through Switzerland mostly on the highway.

Our first hotel is located south of Lyon. approx. 420 km

DAY 3: Lyon - Millau

The second intermediate stage leads us through the French Massif Central to the area of Millau. Up to Lyo, we take the freeway and curvy country roads.

DAY 4: Millau - Prullans

Today's stage takes us through the endless expanses of the Chevennes to Carcassonne, where a short detour to the famous castle of Carcassonne is a must.

Across the Orietal Pyrenees, we now tour to our tour center in Prullans.

DAY 5: Prullans - Jaca

We continue west across the high Pyrenees to the area of Jaca. Approx. 320km

DAY 6: Jaca - Saint Jean de Luz - on the Atlantic coast

From Jaca, today you will travel over winding country roads and passes through the hinterland, out to the Atlantic Ocean. Approx. 260km

DAY 7: Saint Jean de Luz - Montory

Let's go on the Tour de Cols From the Atlantic we head towards St. Jean Pied de Port. Over several passes past ancient ruins across the plateau of Col Bagargi to our next hotel in Montory. Approx. 300 km

DAY 8: Rest day

Today is half time on our strenuous tour - rest is the order of the day,

DAY 9: Montory - Bagnères-de-Luchon

Today we tackle the 2nd section of the Route de Cols, the famous Tour de France passes are waiting for us.

Col de Marie-Blanque, Plateau du Benou, Cromlechs des Courraüs de Houndas, Col d'Aubisque, Col du Soulor, Col du Tourmalet, Col d'Aspin, Col de Peyresourde. Approx. 230 km

DAY 10: Bagnères-de-Luchon to Ax-les-Thermes

3rd stage of the "Tour of the Passes" - Col de Portillon, Col de Menté, Col de Portet d'Aspet,Coin de paradis - Aucazein, Montée vers l'église de Castillon, Église Notre-Dame de L'Assomption, Col de la Core, Seix, Col d'Agnes, Port de Lers, Pas du Souloumbrie, Col du Mammare, Col du Ghioula, to Ax-les-Thermes. About 250 km

DAY 11: Ax-les-Thermes - Millau

Today we leave the Tour de Cols in the direction of the Cevennes. Nevertheless, we still have to enjoy a few passes. Col des Moulis, Col du Grabeil. Approx. 330 km

DAY 12: Millau - Vallance

Across the beautiful landscape of the Cevennes, we tour Vallance. About 320 km

DAY 13: Vallance - Albertville

From Vallance, our tour leads us via Grenoble to Albertville in the French Maritime Alps. Approx. 280 km

DAY 14: Off we go towards home. A breathtaking tour through the Pyrenees is coming to an end. We tour through Switzerland on our last stage back to our starting point of the tour in Lörrach. Approx. 380km

DAY 15: Independent journey home from our final hotel in Lörrach.
