Tour itinerary:

-

Day 1: Individual arrival

Arrival at the starting hotel in the Lörrach area. Check-in until 18:00

Dinner together and getting to know the other participants. Presentation of the whole tour.

-

Day 2: Lörrach - Valance area / France

The first stage of the journey towards the south.

At first, a part of our journey leads us over highways until shortly before Chambery. Through the Chartreuse National Park, we will take country roads to our next overnight stop in Valence, the capital of the French Department of Drome. Depending on the weather, time, desire, and mood, we will treat ourselves to a detour through the Vercors National Park beforehand.

A vignette is required to pass through Switzerland.

-

Day 3: Valance - Narbonne area / France

Valence area, to Hotel Narbonne area

Our next stage from Valence to Narbonne starts with a short highway stage. Afterward, we ride through a part of the Ardeche Gorge and touch the national park of the Cevennes. Over winding country roads we head towards Beziers before reaching our hotel in Narbonne.

-

Day 4: Narbonne - Costa Brava / Spain

Along the coast, we cross the border to Spain today. Of course, a detour to Cap de Creus, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula, is a must. We continue on lonely country roads to our next overnight stay on the Costa Brava in the Santa Susanna area.

-

Day 5: Santa Susanna - Barcelona

Santa Susanna to Barcelona ferry port

Today we are on the road early because we take the fastest way to the ferry port in Barcelona. After our motorcycles are lashed down, we take a last look at Barcelona from the upper deck and enjoy our stay on board.

-

Day 6: Ferry crossing to Tangier (Morocco)

Today Africa welcomes us. Passing Gibraltar, we approach the modern port of Tangier Med - arrive at the ferry around 15:00. After leaving the ferry, we first have to go through the immigration formalities.

On the way along the coastal road towards Tangier, we get a first insight into the exotic landscape and culture of Morocco. Overnight stay in Tangier.

-

Day 7: Tangier - Meknes area

Today we deepen our first impression of Morocco. After breakfast, we start along the beach promenade and past the old harbor of Tangier to a side trip to Cape Spartel, the most northwestern point of Africa located at the entrance of the Strait of Gibraltar. We continue to Asilah for peppermint tea. For a short photo safari, the artistically designed house facades of the medina are a worthwhile motif.

Through the hinterland, we pass Moulay Idris. Here is the burial mosque of the founder of Morocco. Today's destination is Meknes, whose entire old town has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.

-

Day 8: Meknes - Afouer

On the way to our next hotel, which is located above the Lac Bine el Ouidane reservoir, we first cross the D'Ifrane National Park with its bizarre stone formations. Via Khenifra we make a short photo stop at the Barrage Al Hansali lake before we reach our next stopover via the western edge of the middle Atlas mountains.

-

Day 9: Afouer - Marakesh (2 nights)

The Cascades d Ouzoud, one of the highlights of the tour is on our To Do list today. They are the wateriest and highest waterfalls in Morocco. Smaller typical cafes and restaurants invite you to stay after the visit. Over well-developed country roads in the hinterland, we approach our day's destination Marrakech. Shortly before reaching the hotel, our way leads through the Agdal Gardens, which have been a World Heritage Site since 1985.

-

Day 10: Marrakech - City tour

Sightseeing tour of Marrakech, visit Jamal el Fnaaxi (Square of the Hanged) walk through the souks.

Today we will dive deeper into the culture of Morocco. Our motorcycles stay in the garage of the hotel because a sightseeing tour of Marrakech is on the agenda. And the city has a lot to offer. The Bahia Palace, the Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia Mosque, and of course the Djemaa el Fna to name but a few. Especially the latter has a special charm. While during the day you can watch the hustle and bustle of the merchants or stroll through the nearby souks, towards evening the square fills with many jugglers and showmen who perform their acrobatics and tricks. The experience provides plenty to talk about at the hotel bar and before the onward journey the next day.

-

Day 11: Marrakech - Dades

An experienced Morocco connoisseur once said, "Morocco begins only behind Marrakech". Today we can make our picture of this statement. After leaving Marrakech our way leads us in the direction of the High Atlas. For passport collectors, our route today is also interesting because we cross the highest pass in Morocco, the Tizi n 'Tichka, at 2260 meters. Next on the agenda is a photo stop at the World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou. The nested clay buildings were a fortress town and residential castle in earlier times. In modern times, it has been the backdrop for numerous films. Via the road of the Kasbahs, we reach Boumalne Dades, our next stage destination at the entrance to the gorge of the same name.

-

Day 12: Dades - Arfoud (2 nights)

Today could also be called the two gorges tour. Before we continue our journey to our next hotel, we will make a detour to our first highlight of the day, the Dades Gorge. One can assume that whenever a report about Morocco is published, the Dades Gorge will be mentioned in it. After a short tea break, we continue to the Todra Gorge. The road runs here as a concrete stretch directly next to the river between rock walls up to 300 meters high. We continue towards Arfoud. After an exhausting day of riding, the comforts of a Kasbah hotel await us.

-

Day 13: Arfoud

In the morning optional visit to an oasis and Kasbah. Afternoon dune tour Erg Chebbi jeep safari, camel tour.

The adventurous and romantic side of Morocco awaits us today. After breakfast, you have the opportunity to visit an oasis and a Kasbah. You will learn about the complexities of these places.

In the afternoon real desert feeling sets in. We visit the Erg Chebbi, a dune landscape formed by the wind. It is a spectacular unforgettable moment to see the sunset in this environment.

-

Day 14: Arfoud - Fes (2 nights)

We leave our hotel and make our way to the royal city of Fes. Until Er Rich, we follow the course of the river Oued Ziz. Again and again, we can catch a glimpse of the oases along the river. We pass the tunnel of the legionaries. The tunnel, 62 meters long, was named after members of the Foreign Legion who built it by hand. Over the Col du Zad we cross the National Park D'Ifrane as we did on our arrival. With a bit of luck, we will see Barbary macaques posing for a photo in a cedar forest. We continue to a coffee break in Ifrane. One has here in places the feeling to be in Switzerland. No wonder, because Ifrane is a popular winter sports resort. From here it is not far from our hotel in Fes.

-

Day 15: Fes

Fes city tour with sightseeing, Blue Gate, Royal Palace, walk through the Medina

A city tour in Fes is on the program today. This means not only impressive sights such as the Blue Gate and the Royal Palace but also a labyrinth of narrow and winding streets in the souks and the medina. Again we can absorb the unique exoticism of this culture.

-

Day 16: Fes - Tangier Med

Today we say goodbye to Morocco and Africa. We start towards Lac du Sidi Chahed and Ouazzane for a short stay in Chefchouen, the blue city. Many houses are painted in this color, which according to superstition is supposed to protect against the evil eye. Whether you believe in it or not, it is worth seeing. Along the western foothills of the Riff Mountains, we ride past Ceuta, a Spanish enclave, to the port in Tangier. At the beginning of our journey, we go through customs formalities before we can board the ship. From the promenade deck, we take a last longing look at Morocco before our ferry departs.

-

Day 17: Day at sea

Today at sea allows us to relax and let the still-fresh memories of a country full of exotic impressions and a unique landscape sink in before we reach our ferry port the next day.

-

Day 18: Sete - Montelimar

After disembarking the ferry (approx. 13:00), we will ride to our first overnight stop on the way home in the Montelimar - Valence area. Depending on time, a loop through the Ardeche Gorge is possible.

-

Day 19: Montelimar - Lörrach

Area Montelimar, Valence to Weil am Rhein

Our last stage takes us towards Chambery and Annecy in Switzerland. Passing Lake Geneva, we reach our starting hotel in the area of Lörrach. An eventful journey draws to a close.

-

Day 20: Farewell and individual journey home

After breakfast together, it is time to say goodbye.

On our individual journeys home we will be accompanied by the impressions of an unforgettable adventure tour through Morocco.
