The Rappbode Dam
The first day passes Germany's highest dam wall. The break comes right at the reservoir, which holds around 113 million cubic metres, before the way continues to the charcoal kiln at Hasselfelde.
Wurmberg Cable Car
A stop in Braunlage is planned in on the second day. Anyone who wants to can ride the 2.8-kilometre cable car up to the 971-metre Wurmberg summit before the stage carries on north.
Curves near the Brocken
The way passes Saxony-Anhalt's highest mountain through Schierke, the last village below the summit. Winding sections with tight hairpins define this part of the closing stage. The stage ends back in Wernigerode.
Rest Stop in Nordhausen
Along the Zorge the way runs into the town of the same name, where the lunch break is planned in on both of the first two days. Afterwards it climbs back into the heights of the Harz.
Clausthal-Zellerfeld
The mining and university town in the Goslar district lies on the third day's route. After it come the coffee break in Schierke and the last run back over winding side roads to the hotel in Wernigerode.
